Ground Breaking for New Stake Center

On May 28, 2005 members of the Singapore Stake gathered to witness the official ground breaking for the new Singapore Stake Center. Elder Tan presided at the meeting. Both Elder Tan and Pres. Chen spoke and Pres. Chen offered a dedicatory prayer before the actual ground breaking.
You may be interested to know that the new building will be approximately 23,604 square feet. It will consist of 2 chapels, one multi-purpose hall and an indoor basketball court (1/2 court), 32 classrooms, 11 offices, 2 kitchens, 1 mother’s room, and 1 baptismal font. The building will be handicapped friendly and will house 6 wards. The estimated completion date is August 2006.
